Welcome to Lancashire Shorts.

Short audio plays, conceived, written and produced in Lancashire.

The plays cover a wide variety of genres and are intended to provide light and humorous entertainment.

The plays are free to listen to, but we hope you might consider making a small donation, via Ko-Fi, to a special Lancashire charity we support, Leyland CAP.

Leyland Christians Against Poverty is a registered charity (#1181813) that seeks to help people of Leyland and South Ribble who have debt problems.

Here is a short interview with a CAP client, explaining how it helps:

Q: How long had you been in debt before you rang and asked CAP for help?

A: About three years

Q: How did the debt make you feel?

A: It made me feel down - like I wasn't doing my job as a Mum, it broke my heart seeing other kids getting stuff, and at Christmas time. I got a loan to get my older son the Christmas present he wanted but this made the debt worse.

Q: How did it feel to go debt free?

A: I can't even describe it was just everything around me were clear, it felt like a dusty cloud lifted from round me - I could see everything, I could do the house, I could take the kids away and do Christmas

We hope you do enjoy them.
